HOUSTON, TX – The Gauchos are making their way to Houston, Texas, this week to compete in the Big West Conference Championship meet. The event will take place over four days beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 11, and finishing on Saturday, Feb. 14.

How It Will Happen

Each day will have two sessions, beginning with preliminaries and resuming after a break for the finals. Wednesday will have two events; prelims start at 10:30 a.m., and the finals will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday gets underway at 8 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. On day two of the meet, there will be three events. Friday and Saturday will both have six events; each of the last two days will get underway again at 8 a.m for preliminary races, and the days will end with the final sessions beginning at 4 p.m

A Look Ahead

After this meet the Gauchos will have until the end of March to prepare for the National Championships should they qualify. Women's nationals take place over Mar. 18 through Mar. 21 in Atlanta, Georgia at Georgia Tech University. The Men's national meet will be the next week from Mar. 25 through Mar. 28.
