WACO, Texas — UC Santa Barbara (6-2) fell to No. 9 UCF (9-1) 4-0 on Tuesday at the Jim and Nell Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. UC Santa Barbara tied three singles matches but was unable to secure a point.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UCF secured the doubles point with victories on courts three and one. Luca Hotze and Nicolas Olveira gave UCF an early lead by defeating Diogo Morais and Lorenzo Brunkow 6-4 on court three. The decisive point came when Yassine Dlimi and Paul Colin overcame Conrad Brown and Dominique Rolland 6-3 on court one. Meanwhile, the match on court two between Lucca Liu, #80 Miguel Avendano, and Wissam Abderrahman, Mehdi Benchakroun was left unfinished at 5-4.

In singles, Central Florida extended its advantage as #64 Dlimi claimed a 7-6(5), 6-2 victory over #79 Liu on court one. Colin followed with a 6-1, 7-5 win against Charlie Underwood at No. 5 singles. Olveira clinched the team victory for the Knights, defeating Brown 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

UC Santa Barbara's Rolland, ranked No. 31, faced a tough opponent in #108 Abderrahman, losing 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. The matches featuring Avendano and Morais were left unfinished, with scorelines of 7-6(6), 1-1 and 6-2, 5-2, respectively, leaving the overall result in Central Florida's favor.
