PALM DESERT, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara men's golf team starts its spring season with a trip to Palm Desert, California. The Gauchos will compete in the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the prestigious Classic Club.

THE FIELD
The event is filled with 24 teams, seven of which are from The Big West, including UC Santa Barbara. Other notable programs include Colorado, Maryland, New Mexico and future Big West member Cal Baptist.
 
THE COURSE
The 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Design golf course has been home to numerous prolific professional and competitive events; originally opening for the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic from 2006-2008. However, with generous landing areas, yardages ranging from 4,219 up to 7,322 yards, and elevated tee boxes providing a 360-degree view of dramatic mountain vistas, Classic Club is truly a work of art that any and all skill levels will enjoy.
 
FOLLOW ALONG
The Intercollegiate will have a live leaderboard available all three days of the event. The Gauchos will tee off on Monday, Feb. 23 and conclude on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
