Gauchos Look to Carry Momentum into Cabo Collegiate

CABO SAN LUCAS, Baja California Sur, Mexico – The UC Santa Barbara golf team looks to build off its solid start to the season as it ventures to Cabo San Lucas for the Cabo Collegiate. The Gauchos will compete against some of the best teams in the nation in the event.

THE FIELD
The event will host eight top-20 teams and two others ranked in the top 50 in Division I men's golf. Those 10 top teams include No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 7 Arizona State, No. 9 Arkansas, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 17 Georgia Tech, No. 18 Tennessee, No. 20 Stanford, No. 27 Arizona and No. 36 Florida State.
 
THE COURSE
The brainchild of PGA champion Fred Couples, Twin Dolphin Club's 18-hole course is built into the mountainous Baja desert, combining rippling fairways and fast greens with dramatic arroyos, natural bunkers and phenomenal views of the Sea of Cortez. It's a challenging course as fun as Cabo itself.
 
FOLLOW ALONG
The Cabo Collegiate will have a live leaderboard available all three days of the event. The Gauchos will tee off on Sunday, March 1 and conclude on Tuesday, March 3.
