SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Men's Volleyball team continues their home slate this week, returning to The Thunderdome on Wednesday to host No. 1 UCLA.
LAST TIME OUT
The Gauchos went 2-0 at home, upsetting No. 6 Pepperdine 3-0 and taking down No. 19 Lincoln Memorial 3-1. Cole Schobel won The Big West Setter of the Week after making six kills and 33 assists versus Pepperdine, while George Bruening won Defensive Player of the Week for 12 digs against LMU.
'BOUT THE BRUINS
UCLA has spent the season atop the AVCA polls, ranking first since the preseason. They are undefeated, having gone 12-0 in competition. Zach Rama earned AVCA Player of the Week on Jan. 18 and leads the team in kills, while Andrew Rowan leads in assists.
The Gauchos went 0-2 against the Bruins in 2025, but defeated UCLA 3-2 on Jan. 25, 2024.
