SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- After being named The Big West Player of the Week, senior Lucca Liu dominated the court yet again. Having another perfect weekend, he was flawless across singles and doubles competition while never losing a set.
Playing at the No.1 singles position, No. 70 Liu controlled the court against No. 28 Hugo Car of South Florida. Winning in straight-sets of 6-2, 6-1, Liu remained confident going into his doubles match.Â
Additionally, playing at the No. 2 doubles position, Liu and his partner, Miguel Avendano, won their match convincingly. Winning their single set 6-2, the duo defeated Max Mroz and Ettore Danesi of South Florida.Â
Santa Barbara heads on the road to face Pacific on Feb.6 at 10 a.m. The Gauchos are undefeated against Pacific this year, as they look to continue the trend.
