SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Men's Tennis team is set to take the court at 12 p.m. on Mar. 7, hosting No. 72 Texas Tech at the Arnhold Tennis Center under the Santa Barbara sun. The matchup marks the Gauchos' seventh ranked opponent in their last eight contests.

LAST TIME OUT
The Blue and Gold took down UNCW in dominant fashion, sweeping the Seahawks ahead of Texas Tech's upcoming matchup.

UC Santa Barbara opened the match by securing the doubles point with 6-2 victories from the pairs of Diogo Morais/Lorenzo Brunkow on court three and #75 Lucca Liu/Miguel Avendano on court one. The Gauchos carried that momentum into singles, quickly adding wins from Morais, Carson Lee, and #79 Liu to take control of the match. UC Santa Barbara completed the sweep with additional straight-set victories from Avendano, #46 Dominique Rolland, and Matei Gavrea.

ABOUT THE RED RAIDERS
No. 74 Texas Tech heads to the West Coast to face the Blue and Gold with an 8-4 overall record but is still searching for its first road win of the season after starting 0-3 away from home. 

Two of the Red Raiders' losses came against ranked opponents, falling to No. 59 Indiana and No. 57 Georgia Tech earlier this season. Texas Tech enters the matchup with momentum after sweeping a midweek doubleheader against Oral Roberts, securing back-to-back 4-0 victories without dropping a single set.
