Gauchos Face Matadors for Two

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – No. 8 UC Santa Barbara Men's Volleyball is gearing up for two matches against No. 18 CSUN this week, with one at home and one away. The Gauchos will first host the Matadors on Thursday, April 2 at 7:00 p.m. in The Thunderdome before heading to Northridge on Saturday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Gauchos played two against No. 2 Hawai'i, who came away with both wins. 

George Bruening totaled 24 kills for 3.43 per set and also picked up a team-high of 14 digs. Ethan Saint followed on the offense with 2.71 kills per set and 19 overall.

MEETING THE MATADORS
CSUN features Jalen Phillips, who was named to the All-Big West Preseason team as well as the 2025 AVCA First Team. The opposite averages 3.93 kills per set and 4.50 points.

The Gauchos went 2-0 against CSUN in 2025 and had an 11-match win streak from 2019 to 2024. CSUN last won in 2024 with a 3-1 victory in Northridge.
