SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara Golf team is back home this week, as they host the Gaucho Invite. The invite will be held at Sandpiper Golf Course on April 6 and 7.

THE FIELD
The Gauchos enter the field competing against teams from all over the country, including Denver, North Dakota, Creighton, Utah Tech, Utah State, and Boise State. Additionally, two local teams in Westmont and UC Riverside will also be competing.
THE COURSE
Perched along the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Sandpiper Golf Club offers a challenging seaside test paired with some of the most scenic views in college golf. With ocean and mountain backdrops on every hole, the course blends natural beauty with a demanding links-style layout.
Located in Santa Barbara, California, Sandpiper has been rated a top 100 public course in the country. It was designed by William F. Bell and opened in 1972 featuring beautiful rolling fairways and challenging greens. Sandpiper's dynamic design attracts players of all skill levels including players of the highest caliber.
Measuring over 7000 yards, with championship rating of 75.1, Sandpiper has challenged the abilities of the PGA and LPGA players alike, playing host to several professional tournaments including: The PGA Tour Tournament Players Series, The LPGA Tour Santa Barbara Women's Open, and the prestigious final stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying school.
