LA QUINTA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Golf team gets ready for the postseason after nearly a month of preparation following their final regular season event. The Gauchos head to La Quinta, California, for The Big West Championships following a first-place finish at their home event, almost a month ago. It was the Gauchos' first tournament win since the 2018-19 season.

The field consists of all Big West schools that sponsor men's golf, including UC San Diego, UC Irvine, CSUN, UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State, Cal Poly, UC Davis and Hawai'i.

ABOUT LAST YEAR
The Gauchos finished in sixth place in last season's Championship. It was the best finish for the Gauchos since their fifth-place finish in the 2020-21 season and the best finish under Head Coach
Chris Massoletti.
Dylan Ma finished the 2025 Championship nine under last season in a tie for second place, earning him all-conference honors.
THE COURSE
La Quinta Country Club is a tight, well-bunkered course with mature trees and lush fairways requiring strategic course management. The par 72 course plays at just over 7,000 yards from the tips and includes four par threes, four par fives and the other 10 playing as par fours. The 54-hole format will take place from Sunday, April 27 through Tuesday, April 29 with each team playing 18-holes a day.
