OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — UC Santa Barbara Baseball's star pitcher Jackson Flora added another national honor to his standout 2026 season on Wednesday, earning a spot on the College Baseball Foundation's All-America Team. Flora represents the Gauchos as one of the five starting pitchers selected to the team.
 
What began as a dominant season quickly turned into an impressive string of national accolades for the Gaucho ace. The honors continued for Flora after he was also named the College Baseball Foundation's National Pitcher of the Year earlier this month, becoming the first Gaucho to earn the award. The junior right-hander now joins an All-America roster featuring many of the nation's top players and has collected five First Team All-America selections and three National Pitcher of the Year honors this postseason.
 
Every time Flora took the mound in 2026, he gave UC Santa Barbara a chance to win. The Gauchos won 13 of his 16 starts, while Flora himself finished the season a perfect 12-0, leading the nation in victories. But Flora's dominance extended far beyond the win column, as he also led the nation with a 1.06 ERA and third nationally in both WHIP (0.85) and strikeouts.
 
Flora's steady rise culminated in one of the most decorated seasons by a player in program history. The latest recognition further cements his place among the most accomplished pitchers in the history of Gaucho baseball. With his junior season complete, Flora turns his attention to the next step in his baseball journey. He is currently participating in the Major League Baseball Draft Combine in Phoenix as he continues preparation for next month's MLB Draft, where he is projected to be the first pitcher selected.
