SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Sept. 15) – Sophomore Jordin Lieberman has been named Big West Cross Country Athlete of the Week after a standout performance at the Kim Duyst Invitational this past weekend.
Lieberman placed second overall on the women's 6k course in Ceres, delivering a personal-best time of 20:44.9. Her performance currently stands as the fastest women's 6k time in the Big West this season and helped lead the Gauchos to a second-place team finish.
UC Santa Barbara Cross Country will return to action at the Chicago Lakefront, hosted by Loyola Chicago, on Friday, Sept. 25. The women will compete on the 6k course, while the men will race the 8k as the Gauchos continue deeper into the 2026 season.
