COLORADO SPRINGS – The UC Santa Barbara Golf team is in action again this week as they are set to compete in the 57th Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, hosted by the Air Force Academy. The tournament will be held at Eisenhower Golf Club from Saturday, September 19, through Monday, September 21.

THE FIELD
The Gauchos enter a field with three other Big West institutions, including UC San Diego, Utah Valley University, and CSUN. Along with those three, the Gauchos will take on 14 other programs, including UC Davis, Colorado, Denver, UTEP, SIU-Edwardsville, Gonzaga, Southern Utah, Weber State, Air Force, Utah Tech, Wyoming, SJSU, Utah State, and Northern Colorado.
THE COURSE
Eisenhower Golf Club features two Championship courses. The Blue Course is named after former President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The 7,541-yard, par 72 course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., and was ranked as the third-best military course in the nation per
PGA.com and the 24th best college course per Golf Week in the country. The Silver Course, designed by a Colorado architect, Frank Hummel, is the newer of the two Eisenhower courses. It is a 6,519-yard course protected by tight fairways and undulating greens.
The team competition will be held on the Blue Course while the individual event will be held on the Silver Course.
