SEATTLE – UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team falls to 34th-ranked Washington, 0-7 at the Nordstorm Tennis Center.

The doubles tandem of Natalie Da Silveira and Jaimee Gilbertson opened up the doubles match with a win against Katarina Kopcalic and Lana Slavica by a score of 6-3. However, Washington took the next two wins as Miki Kobayashi and Nour Abbes defeated Palina Dubavets and Stefani Stojic 6-3 and Stacey Fung and Kenadi Hance defeated Melissa Baker and Stephanie Yamada 6-3. 

Washington dominated the singles match as No.2 Abbes defeated Gilbertson 6-2, 6-3. Amanda Atanassonfell to Hance 6-3, 6-1 at No.5 as Dubavets fell to Fung 6-3, 6-2 at No.1. Next, Kopcalic defeated Amit Lev-Ari 6-2, 7-5 and Prokopuik defeated Baker 6-4, 7-6(2) the following match. At No.3 Da Silveira had a neck and neck match against Kobayashi but was defeated by a score of 3-6, 7-6, 10-7.

Gauchos will come back to the home court and play against New Mexico on March 5 at 10:00 a.m.
