BERKELEY, Calif. – Sophomore Shakhnoza Khatamova beat No. 26 Valentina Ivanov, but the UCSB women's tennis team (1-1, 1-0) was defeated by Berkeley by a score of 6-1 Sunday. This marks the Gauchos' first loss of the season after opening the season with a win at UC Davis Saturday.
Santa Barbara surrendered the doubles point after the duos of Khatamova and Lisa Sentenac and Elizaveta Volodko and Camille Kiss lost their doubles matches, both by a score of 6-1.
