SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – After a tough loss at Stanford on Wednesday, the UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team bounced back to beat Colorado in their second home match of the season by a score of 5-2.

The Gauchos (2-3, 1-0) took the doubles point for the first time this season thanks to dominant performances from the duos of Kira Reuter and Shakhnoza Khatamova and Camille Kiss and Marta Gonzalez Balbe. Reuter and Khatamova won their doubles matchup in shutout fashion, 6-0, while Kiss and Gonzalez Balbe won 6-2.

In singles, Santa Barbara won the top three matchups as well as the number six matchup. Elizaveta Volodko took the win in a closely contested No. 1 matchup, defeating the Buffs' Sara Nayar 6-1, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (6). Gauchos Kiss, Khatamova, and Gonzalez Balbe also won their singles matches.

The Gauchos head inland this Sunday to take on UC Riverside in what will be their second Big West matchup of the season at 11:00 a.m.
