HONOLULU, Hawai'i – The UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team beat Hawaii 5-2 Saturday, winning their fourth straight match and improving to a perfect 4-0 in Big West play. The four-game winning streak is the program's longest since 2019 when they won five straight.
The Gauchos' (5-3, 4-0) doubles duo of Marta Gonzalez Balbe and Camille Kiss won their matchup 6-1, and Lise Sentenac and Elizaveta Volodko followed with a 6-4 win to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Santa Barbara took four of the six matchups, highlighted by a 6-0, 6-1 win by Shakhnoza Khatamova. Camille Kiss won 6-3, 0-6, 6-1, Kira Reuter took her match 6-2, 6-4, and Marta Gonzalez Balbe prevailed 6-0, 6-2 to round out the Gauchos' win.
Santa Barbara looks to remain hot when they host UC Irvine on April 10 at 12:00 p.m. No spectators will be permitted.
