SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – In their second of three matches in a four-day span, the UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team defeated San Diego 5-2 Sunday at Arnhold Tennis Center. The win was the Gauchos' third straight and brings them to 4-4 overall on the season.

How it Happened

• The Gauchos started off with wins on courts three and one to clinch the doubles point. On court three, Camille Kiss and Marta Gonzalez-Ballbe won 6-2, and Shakhnoza Khatamova and Elizaveta Volodko secured the point with a 6-3 win on court one
• Moving into the singles portion, court two was the first matchup to wrap up with Elizaveta Volodko prevailing 6-3, 6-3. Amelia Honer won by the same score on court four to put Santa Barbara a point away from clinching the match
• Shakhnoza Khatamova won a back-and-forth 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 match on court one to make it 4-0, securing the victory for the Gauchos
• USD salvaged points on courts five and six, with Claudia De Las Heras besting Filippa Bruu-Syversen 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(2) on court five and Victoria Kalaitzis taking down Kira Reuter 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5) on six
• UCSB picked up their fifth and final point as Camille Kiss beat Elizabeth Goldsmith 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 on court three
