NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (April 13, 2023) - The UC Santa Barbara Men's Volleyball team (5-16, 1-7 Big West) will wrap up their regular season with two matches against Cal State Northridge. The Gauchos will travel to CSUN on Friday, April 14 before returning home to host the Matadors on Saturday, April 15. 

The Gauchos most recently wrapped up their series with UC San Diego, where UC Santa Barbara dropped the final two sets of a five-set match to the Tritons, resulting in a 3-2 loss. Currently, Ryan Wilcox and Dayne Chalmers rank in the top 20 of The Big West in hitting percentage. The Gauchos are also No. 1 in The Big West in digs per set, headed into the final two games of the season.

Cal State Northridge comes into the weekend with a 12-13 record while holding a 1-7 record in Big West action. Their last Big West series was against No. 4 Long Beach State, where the Matadors dropped both matches. CSUN played Long Beach in a tight five-set match in game one of the series before falling in three sets in the second match. The Matadors are led by Kyle Hobbs and Griffin Walters, who rank in the top 10 in The Big West in kills with 310 and 241 respectively. 

First serve on Friday will be at 7 p.m. in Northridge at Premier America Credit Union Arena. On Saturday, the match begins at 7 p.m. in Santa Barbara at Rob Gym. Both matches will be available through ESPN+.
