CHANDLER, Ariz. (April 4, 2023) – The UC Santa Barbara Golf team competed in their second tournament in two weeks, playing in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Chandler, Arizona hosted by the University of Wyoming. The Gauchos faced some of the top competition in the country, with Top 50 teams like San Diego State, TCU and Missouri. After three rounds of golf, UC Santa Barbara ended the weekend in 20th.
The first round was the best outing for the Gauchos this weekend, shooting 300 on the day, while shooting a 304 and 311 for the remaining two rounds. Mason Benbrook as the standout performer for the Gauchos, shooting a 226 for the three rounds. His lowest score came in the first round, shooting a 74. Rajvir Bedi followed close behind him 227, shooting the Gauchos' lowest round of the tournament with a 72.
