LONG BEACH, Calif. (Saturday, April 8) - Head Coach Simon Thibodeau of the UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis Team earned his 300th career victory after the Gauchos comeback to defeat Long Beach State, 4-3. Valentina Khrebtova and Camille Kiss won their matches to help the Gauchos past Long Beach.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Long Beach earned the first point of the match after winning the doubles point, but the Gauchos would win the match. 

In singles play the No. 51 ranked Amelia Honer tied the match up with a straight set victory on court one. Long Beach and UC Santa Barbara would flip-flop wins on courts three, five, and six with LBSU holding a 3-2 edge with two courts to play.

Valentina Khrebtova earned a three set victory on court four to tie the match up at 3-3. All eyes turned to court two as Camille Kiss looked to win the match. After dropping set one, 7-6, Kiss came back to earn the win for the Gauchos winning 6-3 and 6-2 in the final two sets of her match.
