SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 21, 2023) – The UC Santa Barbara Men's Basketball team is thrilled to announce they will once again play in the Fifth Annual Jerry Colangelo Classic held at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.

From Head Coach Joe Pasternack: "We are very grateful to be a part of the Jerry Colangelo Classic once again. It is a first-class event, and our players are really looking forward to it."

This year, the Gauchos will play on Saturday, Dec. 16, as part of a four-game series that day. UC Santa Barbara will be taking on Loyola Marymount at the tournament, with time yet to be determined. Along with the Gauchos game against LMU, Grand Canyon will be playing Portland, Washington State will take on Santa Clara, and UNLV will face Saint Mary's.

Last season, the Gauchos faced Appalachian State and came home with the win as Miles Norris was named as the game's MVP.

Tickets for the event will go on sale in July with information on the broadcast details to be released at a later date.
