SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team announced its schedule for the 2025 spring season. The Gauchos will compete in 23 matchups culminating in the Big West Championship led by Simon Thibodeau who enters his 13th season as the head coach for the Blue and Gold.

The Gauchos open the season on Jan. 18 at the University of San Diego at a two-day event facing LSU and the hosting Toreros. 

The ITA Kick Off will take place the following weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan with a matchup against Vanderbilt and either Michigan or Yale in the two-day competition from Jan. 24-25.

Santa Barbara kicks off February on their home court facing TCU on Feb. 9. The team hits the road for the rest of the month starting with three dual matches from Feb. 14-15 in Tucson, Ariz. against Princeton, Arizona and Texas Tech. 

The next three matchups send the Gauchos north to Stanford, UC Berkeley and Big West opponent UC Davis with each competition taking place on their opponent's home courts from Feb. 28-March 2. 

The Gauchos return home on March 8 to host Loyola Marymount followed by a home matchup with Harvard on March 22. The rest of the month will entail Big West competition with the Gauchos traveling to UC Riverside on March 25, Long Beach State on March 26 and Hawai'i on March 29. 

Big West play continues on April 4 with the Gauchos away at CSUN and returning home on April 6 to face UC San Diego.

The Gauchos will take their last road trip to Pepperdine on April 10 before three matchups at home to end their regular season against UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Cal Poly in mid-April. 

The season culminates in The Big West Championship from April 24-26 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
