SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team will host two teams this weekend starting with UC Davis on Friday, Feb. 2 followed by TCU on Sunday, Feb. 4. The Gauchos are fresh off their first win of the season, with a dominant victory against the University of San Francisco last Sunday, recording a 6-1 win.

HISTORY
Since the 2005 season, the Gauchos have dominated against the UC Davis Aggies, currently holding a 20-0 record. The last time the two teams met was during the 2023 season which saw the Gauchos win in a 5-2 victory at UC Davis. Additionally, Davis' Arianna Stavropoulos was named the Player of the Week by The Big West.
On Sunday, the Gauchos will be looking for their third win against TCU. The Horned Frogs recently wrapped up their ITA Kickoff weekend with one win over Rice followed by a loss to No. 9 Texas A&M.
FALL RECAP
The Gauchos started the fall season strong with Amelia Honer and Camille Kiss opening the fall season with a win over the No. 8 ranked doubles duo from Georgia. They carried that momentum throughout the fall season as Honer defeated Katherine Hui from Stanford. Hui was ranked as the No. 2 Newcomer by the ITA and won the U.S. Open Junior Championships previously. Kira Reuter and Amelia Honer also earned a spot in the ITA National Fall Championships, they were just one of 32 doubles teams to earn a spot in the Championships.
