HISTORY
Santa Barbara and LMU enter the match on an even playing field, each holding an 8-8 record. The Gauchos have not had a victory over the Lions since the 2016-17 season, and will be looking to break a 5 match losing streak. LMU recently picked up their second win of the season against Pacific, overcoming the Tigers 4-1.

The Gauchos have a total of 2 wins and 6 losses in their series with the USC Trojans. The most recent victory was back in the 2021-22 season, when the highly ranked No. 12 Trojans at the time were toppled by the No. 41 Gauchos in a close match, 4-3. The USC women's tennis team recently took down No. 2 Michigan in an upset victory this past Sunday. Additionally, USC's Grace Piper recently earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors. The Trojans currently have four ranked players in singles, as well as two ranked doubles pairs on the team.

KISS EARNS WEEKLY HONOR
For the first time this season and the first time since 2022, Camille Kiss was named Big West Player of the Week. It was her first honor of the season and her fourth career time being named Player of the Week. Although the Gauchos dropped both their matches last week Camille Kiss earned a couple impressive victories including a win over then No. 21 ranked Alexandra Yepifanova from Stanford.

FALL RECAP
The Gauchos started the fall season strong with Amelia Honer and Camille Kiss opening the fall season with a win over the No. 8 ranked doubles duo from Georgia. They carried that momentum throughout the fall season as Honer defeated Katherine Hui from Stanford. Hui was ranked as the No. 2 Newcomer by the ITA and won the U.S. Open Junior Championships previously. Kira Reuter and Amelia Honer also earned a spot in the ITA National Fall Championships, they were just one of 32 doubles teams to earn a spot in the Championships.
