LA JOLLA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team extended their winning streak to four matches with another Big West win, this time coming against UC San Diego. The Gauchos defeated the Tritons 6-1 Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UC Santa Barbara started off the match with a strong performance in doubles. The 35th-ranked doubles duo of Amelia Honer and Kira Reuter gave the Gauchos the early edge with a swift 6-1 victory on court one. Camille Kiss and Lucy Lu clinched the doubles point for the Gauchos with a 6-2 victory on court two.

As the match moved to singles play, Camille Kiss dominated her opponent allowing her to win just one game en route to a straight-set victory. 43rd ranked Amelia Honer blanked her opponent to push the Gaucho lead to 3-0. The Tritons cut into the deficit with a win on court six but they would come right back as Lucy Lu earned the clinching point for UC Santa Barbara. The Gauchos ended the match picking up two more wins on court five and court three to ultimately win 6-1.
