SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis Head Coach, Simon Thibodeau announced the signing of Raphaelle Leroux on Monday, Sept. 2.

"We are thrilled to have Raphaelle join our UC Santa Barbara team this fall," exclaimed Thibodeau. "Raphaelle is a highly recruited top Canadian junior who won many strong matches and brings experience from her time competing on the ITF junior world tour. The addition of Raphaelle to our already deep roster puts us in a great position to compete at a very high level. We're excited to see what this team and Raphaelle can accomplish this year. Leroux will join the Gauchos this fall while holding an ITF juniors ranking of No. 194 and is ranked fifth in Canada's U18 rankings. She also is a two-time Canadian Junior Doubles Champion. The Canadian also boasts a 8-13 record against Blue-Chip recruits and is a perfect 4-0 against four and five-star prospects according to Tennis Recruiting Network.

Leroux will join a Gaucho team that posted a 14-8-1 record and an 8-0-1 record in The Big West. UC Santa Barbara came one game away from reaching the Big West Championship final match, but did send two student-athletes to the Singles and Doubles NCAA National Championships.
