Gauchos Look to Keep Momentum Going at Saint Mary's Invitational

SEASIDE, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Men's Golf team is headed into its final tournament of the fall season coming off their best finish of the 2025 fall last week. The Gauchos look to carry the momentum into the final event as they progress toward their spring season.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Gauchos finished a season best last week at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational with four rounds under par over the course of the tournament. In a field of 96 four Gauchos finished 34th or better.

THE FIELD
Among the participating teams include host Saint Mary's, Washington State, Pacific, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Long Beach State, Cal Poly, Nevada, Fresno State, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, Arkansas State, Texas State, Austin Peay and UT Arlington.
 
THE COURSE
Bayonet, with its narrow playing corridors and steep, penal bunkering, has long been considered the most difficult test of golf on the Monterey Peninsula. The par-72, 7,104-yard course is famous for playability and strategic options.
