Gauchos Wrap Up Fall Slate at ITA Conference Masters and West Sectional

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis team fought from top to bottom of the West Coast, coming away with some big wins this past weekend.

ITA WEST SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Shachf Liebermann headed to Seattle, aiming to punch her ticket to the NCAA Championships in Orlando for singles competition.

In her Round of 32 match, Liebermann delivered a strong performance, defeating Tanvi Narendran of Arizona 6-4, 6-4. The following morning, she faced the tournament's No. 1 seed from UCLA. Despite putting up a determined fight and showcasing her resilience on the court, Liebermann ultimately fell 6-2, 6-2, ending her run in the tournament.

ITA CONFERENCE MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Competing in San Diego alongside the UCSB Men's Tennis team, My-Anh Holmes and Raphaelle Leroux came ready to play. In an evening match as the sun set, they brought intensity to the court, sweeping Murray State's doubles pair in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.

Looking to extend their run in the next day of doubles competition, they dropped a tight first set in their match before unfortunately having to end their tournament due to illness, 6-4, 3-2 ret.
