SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara Women's Tennis player Lily Pradkin has been named The Big West Player of the Week for the first time this season after an impressive week of competition.

In singles play this past week, Pradkin defeated both of her opponents in straight sets, earning an impressive ranked win over No. 92 Naomi Xu of No. 15 Cal, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4), and also delivered a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory over Clemence Thouard of Memphis.

In doubles, Pradkin teamed with My-Anh Holmes to defeat Natalia Koppova and Rebecca Frant of Memphis, 6-4, to clinch the doubles point. Against No. 15 Cal, the duo pushed Berta Passola Folch and Sophie Hernandez to the brink, holding two match points before ultimately falling in a tight 7-6 (7-4) tiebreak.

Pradkin and the Gauchos now enter a two-week break before opening Big West play against No. 62 Long Beach State on April 1.
