FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (May 29) – Finn Andrews and Mac Lamkin represented UC Santa Barbara Track and Field in the quarterfinals of the 400m hurdles at the NCAA West Regionals, delivering personal best performances against some of the nation's top competitors.
Andrews broke his own school record for the fourth time this season, punching his ticket to the NCAA Championships with a sixth-place finish in 49.78. Lamkin also delivered a standout performance, placing 11th overall with a personal best time of 50.55. He was the only freshman to advance to the quarterfinals in the West Region for the event.
Andrews will compete next at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, at the NCAA Championships, held June 10-13.
