LOS ANGELES, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara sophomore Camille Kiss finished tied for first in singles at the Women of Troy Invitational on Sunday. The reigning Big West Freshman of the Year secured her first place victory with a 6-4, 6-3 win over LMU's Eva Marie Voracek.
Kiss' Sunday win cemented a successful weekend at USC, having beaten both of her other singles opponents including USD's #107 ranked Jordyn McBride and only losing one singles set overall.
Santa Barbara's other singles win Sunday came from freshman Filippa Bruu-Syversen who shut down USC's Gabrielle Lee, prevailing 6-1, 6-2.
The Gauchos will head to the ITA Southwest Regionals in San Diego on October 21.
